Nile Cruises

This is not just a trip; it’s a once-in-a-lifetime dream come true. Travel through time, from the grandeur of ancient temples to the serene views of the Nile, and experience the timeless beauty of Egypt.

The climate in Egypt is dry, which makes the heat easier to handle. Temperatures vary across regions, and this is important to consider when planning your trip. In winter, in the south of the country, daytime temperatures are around +20 °C, but nights and mornings can be very cold. In summer, buses are equipped with air conditioning, sometimes too strong, so it is always better to have warm clothes with you for long trips. Also, during summer, take special care of your skin: sunburn can occur after just 10 minutes under the blazing sun.

The national currency is the Egyptian pound. In tourist cities, US dollars are accepted almost everywhere: in hotels, cafes, restaurants, small shops, and when paying for excursions. However, it is always a good idea to carry some local currency with you, especially on longer trips.

  • Luxor – the ancient city of Thebes, the cultural capital of Ancient Egypt. Here you will find the main temples of the country, and the Nile flows through this area.

  • Dendera – one of the best-preserved temple complexes in Egypt and one of the few places where you can see a vivid picture of late Egyptian religion.

  • Necropolises – the most famous are the Valley of the Kings in Luxor, the Great Pyramids in Cairo, and Abydos.

  • Alexandria – a northern city with a rainy climate and a beautiful sea. It is home to the modern Library of Alexandria, not a replica of the ancient one but a reminder of its heritage.

  • Safari and sea trips – a chance to explore history while relaxing. On a safari, you can learn about the life of the Bedouins, and on a glass-bottom boat or submarine, you can discover the underwater world.

  • Nile cruises – a wonderful opportunity to explore the historical treasures of Luxor and Aswan at a leisurely pace, while enjoying comfort and entertainment on board a luxury ship.

Taxis are widely available on all city streets, but they usually don’t use meters and may overcharge.
Uber and InDrive apps can be convenient, but drivers sometimes change the price upon arrival or even during the trip. If this happens, you can simply ask the driver to stop and get out.
Minibuses are very cheap, but they have no numbers or clear signs, so you need to know in advance which one to take and where to stop it.
Transfers arranged by a company cost a little more, but the price is fixed, air conditioning works, and if something happens (for example, a car breakdown), our manager will handle the problem for you.

Women should choose long and light clothing that covers the whole body, including the arms, and also bring a scarf to cover their hair.
Men can wear shorts, but they must be below the knee. Prefer shoes that are easy to take off before entering the mosque.

Know Before You Go:

Helpful Information for Your Trip

Clothing: In the warm climates of Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor, it’s recommended to wear lightweight and comfortable clothing. When visiting religious sites, modest attire is essential, which means covering your shoulders and knees.

Tipping: Tipping is customary in Egypt and is appreciated by guides, drivers, and hotel staff. While it is not mandatory, it is considered polite to tip.

Weather: Summers in Egypt can be extremely hot, so be sure to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. The best times to visit are during the fall and spring seasons.

Health & Safety: Stay hydrated and avoid street food if your stomach isn’t used to it. Tap water is unsafe to drink, but bottled water is widely available.

Photography: Always ask for permission before taking pictures at temples or of local people.

Safety: Egypt is generally considered safe for tourists. Just remain aware of your surroundings and use common sense.

Traveling with Children: Check with your travel agent to see if a particular tour is child-friendly and if comfortable accommodations are available.

Traffic: Traffic jams can be common, especially in large cities, so be sure to allow extra time for travel.

Valuables: Leave jewelry and other expensive items at the hotel, particularly if your tour involves off-road or rural travel.

Visa Requirements: Check Egypt’s visa requirements for your country. Most travelers can obtain a visa on arrival, but some nationalities must apply in advance.

Currency: The local currency is the Egyptian Pound (EGP). Credit cards are accepted in many places, but it’s recommended to carry some cash for smaller shops and local vendors.

What to Pack: Bring your passport, camera, sunscreen, comfortable shoes, any personal medication, insect repellent, breathable clothing for excursions, and modest outfits for visiting temples and mosques.
